Fried Fish
During the spring and summer, I get a lot of fish coming into my household. I love frying me up some fish. Just pass me some lemon and some hot sauce, we are good. This recipe is very flavorful and has a little kick to it. You can use any white fish for this recipe.
Fried Fish Recipe
2 cups of Corn Meal
2 Tbsp. salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp Garlic garlic powder
1 tbsp Onion powder
1 tbsp Paprika
½ tsp Cayenne
2 tbsp lemon pepper
2 eggs
Couple squirts of hot sauce in egg wash
Use any white meat fish, I used Catfish in this video
Batter your fish fillets by dipping in the corn meal seasoning, then to egg wash and back to the corn meal seasoning. Get a good solid coating and shake any excess off. Preheat oil to 375 degrees, test your oil if ready by dropping some corn meal in the oil. If it fries, then it is ready and place the fish in the oil. Cook for 3 mins and check to ensure it reaches an internal temperature of 175 degrees. Serve with fries, tartar sauce, and lemon. Don't forget the hot sauce!
Enjoy!
