Thanksgiving can be chaotic with so many things going on. Simple dishes like a classic stuffing makes getting side dishes out on the table with a breeze. But even the simple recipes can be so delicious. This classic thanksgiving stuffing recipe has been enjoyed in our family since I can remember. I hope you and your loved ones enjoy it as well.
2 12oz Seasoned Stuffing Mix
2 sticks of unsalted butter
2 cups of diced onion
2 cups of diced celery
1 can of olives halved
1 – 32oz Chicken Broth or Stock
In a pan, melt the butter over medium low heat. Once all the butter is melted, add in the onion and celery and cook for a couple of minutes until the onions are translucent.
Season with salt and pepper, add in the chicken broth and mix well. Allow the broth to come to temperature.
In a large bowl, add your stuffing mix, olives and chicken broth/butter mixture and mix well.
In a large baking pan, grease with some butter and add in your mixed stuffing mixture. Portion the stuffing evenly throughout the baking pan.
Cover with foil and place into a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45 – 50 minutes. Remove the foil on the last 15 minutes, and let cook until golden brown.
Let rest and enjoy!
