Classic Pancakes - Easy Recipes
Every Saturday I make breakfast for my kids. They love pancakes, but I make sure I let them know this is a dish from their ancestors. I was told this recipe is was passed down from my great grandmother, I never met her. I wish I did, because I hear she had a lot of cooking influence to my family. My Grandma would make this for me on Saturday, so I kept the tradition alive and serve this to my kids every Saturday. They love it, that is all I need to know. I make a double batch every Saturday to please my kids.
Ingredients for 4-5 pancakes:
1 ½ cup of All Purpose Flour
1 Egg
1 ¼ Cup of Milk or buttermilk
3 ½ Teaspoons of Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoon Sugar
3 Tablespoons of Melted Butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
Cooking Instructions:
Over medium heat with melted butter, pour in about a cup of batter. Let cook for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until golden brown.
Flip then cook for about one minute.
Serve with your favorite topping, butter and syrup.
Enjoy!
