I use lollipop chicken as an appetizer. I usually pick up some small chicken legs to make this, but don't let that hold you back from having this as the star of the dish. They are packed with flavor and come out really great on the air fryer.
Air Fryer Lollipop Chicken
Trim your chicken legs and remove the skin and cartilage from the bottom of the leg. Remove the bone that runs along the side of the chicken to the top of the drumstick with sheers or knife. Push the meat towards the top of the drumstick and season with your favorite BBQ rub. Wrap in bacon to cover the portion of the meat, leaving the bone exposed.
Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees and cook for 22 mins. Once cook time is done, brush with BBQ sauce and cook for another 6 mins or until the sauce is thick and the drumsticks have a glaze.
