I am a big lemon pepper chicken wing fan, I make them a lot in my air fryer. One day I said to myself, what if I try to make it with shrimp. So this is where the idea came from and it came out fantastic. It had good flavor and a nice kick from the cayenne pepper. You can make this for a meal or snack, either way it is great!
Lemon Pepper Shrimp
1 lb of Large shrimp ( about 31-40 large Shrimp) Peeled, divined, and tail on
1 cup All purpose flour
3 tbsp McCormick Lemon Pepper seasoning
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl for dipping and scramble an egg in another bowl. Coat your shrimp in the seasoned flour, and shake off any excess flour. Drop the shrimp in the egg and coat in the seasoned flour one more time.
Once your shrimp are battered, preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees and set the cook time for 12 mins. Place your shrimp in the air fryer once it is preheated and spray with a little oil to help crisp the batter. Allow the shrimp to cook for 6 mins and open the air fryer and flip. Close the air fryer and let the cook time finish. Serve with some hot sauce or tartar sauce and Enjoy!
