Air Fried Shrimp with Panko Bread crumbs
I love making fried shrimp and in the air fryer it is really easy to do. The best part is adding some type of Cajun or Creole seasoning, it really takes the flavor to the next level. When you cook in the air fryer, you get that crispy fried exterior without all the oil. It is a much healthier alternative to frying food because you are using air.
Ingredients
1lb Large Shrimp (Peeled, Divined, Tail-on)
enough cornstarch to coat the shrimp
1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
2 eggs (scrambled for egg wash)
2 tbsp of your favorite cajun/creole/seafood seasoning.
Coat your shrimp with the cornstarch.
Place 2 eggs in a bowl and scramble the egg.
Place the Panko bread crumbs in a separate bowl.
Add your seasoning to your egg wash and mix well.
Dip your coated shrimp in the egg wash and then give a good coating in the bowl with the Panko.
Make sure you get a good coating with the Panko, you can apply a little pressure to get a little more Panko on the shrimp.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees and set the cook time for 12 mins.
Once preheated, place your shrimp in the air fryer and spray with a little oil to allow crispy cooking.
After 6 mins, flip the shrimp and spray a little oil on the other side of the shrimp.
Let finish for the rest of the cook time and enjoy!
